Three more suicides

Amrita Mohan Bhatia (26) a resident of Nerul, committed suicide on Friday by hanging herself from the fan. The police said she had been in depression, as she was not able to get married, reports G Mohiuddin Jeddy.

Amrita Mohan Bhatia (26) a resident of Nerul, committed suicide on Friday by hanging herself from the fan. The police said she had been in depression, as she was not able to get married.

Bhatia, a resident of Tulsi Bhavan in Sector 6 of Nerul was found dead by her mother.

Senior inspector of Nerul police station, R. P. Galdhar said, “The girl lived with her mother, who works in a local school. Her father had passed away.”

Added Galdhar, “Her mother told us that Amrita had been depressed for sometime as there were no marriage proposals.”

Namrata Bagheria (28) hanged herself on Thursday night at her flat in Lower Parel. She was an bank executive in South Mumbai and lived with her husband.

Asna Bahalian (17) committed suicide on Friday evening in Vrindavan Society at Rabodi, Thane (West), by hanging herself.

Bahalian was a class 11 commerce student of St. John College.
