Kartik Maniyar, the shop owner, lodged the complaint on April 27. The police said the robbers broke into Vicky Infotech at Garodia Nagar in Ghatkopar and stole 60 laptops and a projector machine worth over Rs 4.6 lakh.

Mohammed Iqbal Sheikh (23) and Nazim Azhar Sheikh (20) were arrested and recovered 35 laptops worth Rs 2.37 lakh from them. Police sub-inspector P. Kamble said: “The accused have been remanded in police custody until June 1. We are on the lookout for two others accomplices.”

“The two arrested do not have criminal records but there is a possibility that they are part of a gang. We have alerted the local electronics dealers to inform us if they come across anyone who are trying to sell laptops,” said a police official.
