No suicide note was found, police said.

The Pawar family is in shock and unable to understand what drove the teenager to end his life.

The family told the Mulund police that Prashant got up early, helped his family members in the household work and then left home. Around 9am, one of his friends spotted his body hanging from a tree.

The Mulund police have registered a suicide case.

Prashant, the youngest son of the family, was studying in Sangli. He had recently returned home and expressed his wish to complete his education in Mumbai, the police said.
