"Women personnel may be armed, but when it comes to physical strength, they may not be able to handle a situation if there are more than two men," the victim said.

The Nerul resident also hopes the state will make molestation a non-bailable offence as then the police cannot take it lightly.

She believes the security of women commuters is a larger issue.

"The laws and the security in trains should be so stringent that nobody should dare to misbehave with women, whether it is in the ladies compartment or the general compartment," she said.
