Paanyavarchya Paaklya: A Musical Journey of Poetry Through Dance

This unique dance production by Vaibhav Arekar has been inspired by Marathi poetry and will be performed at the Experimental Theatre at the NCPA, on May 21, at 6.30 pm.



For this new production, Arekar has picked pieces from both classical and contemporary poetry, mostly Marathi (Kusumagraj, Sudir Mogde, Roy Kinikar, Mangesh Padgoakar, Shanta Shelke, Dr.Aruna Dhere) and one Hindi by Dharmveer Bharti, which he will combine in this special dance performance.



Arekar belongs to the new generation of intense artistes, whose art and life is guided by the vision of promoting Indian classical dance as a contemporary art.



Paanyavarchya Paaklya, at the Experimental Theatre, NCPA at 6.30 pm on Friday.
