The chances of the 23-year-old singer taking his album on the road are ‘very slim’ and this could apparently threaten his first solo tour, set to kick off next year, reports Metro.

In a statement, the Pillowtalk singer said, “I have today acknowledged that I do not feel sufficiently confident to move forward with the planned show in Dubai in October.”

“Zayn is still really struggling with his anxiety. The thought of going on a full world tour fills him with dread,” an insider revealed.

Back in June this year, the same issue led Malik to cancel his appearance at the Capital FM Summertime Ball.

“Zayn has been working hard to get control of his fears and obviously wants to perform live but at the same time he doesn’t want to let anyone down by announcing dates and then cancelling them,” the insider added, “He’s feeling a lot of pressure to perform and feels much more comfortable in the studio.”
