Have you been to India before?
I’ve always wanted to visit India, but this is my first trip.

Will you celebrate Diwali here?
Sadly, I won’t be around. But I will make sure that I make the most of my stay. I can’t wait to get there. Give my message to all my fans, I am coming and when in India, I’ll do as Indians do!

Give us an insight into your upcoming concert.
Fardeen of Blue Note Entertainment (organiser) narrated to me how the concert would be and I loved it. The idea is to blend it with the Festival of Lights. The décor includes lights, mirrors and crystals, and everything will be lit up. We will also be using the Tomahawk Technique that has been a rage in the US and European countries. I’ll perform my favourite tracks and there are many surprises in store during the opening and closing ceremony by world-famous DJs.

Is it true that you are going to shoot a video in India?
From what I have seen and heard, India is a beautiful place. My organisers promised me a mini tour in spite of my short stay. I am not likely to shoot a video this time, but I would love to in future.

There are reports that you will be a part of reality show Bigg Boss.
No, I am coming to India for my fans. This tour is just for them, visiting India and learning about the cultural heritage.

So how about wearing Indian outfits for the show?
I love, eat and breathe jackets. I’ll be carrying 50 jackets to India. I have heard a lot about Indian work on clothes, like
embroidery and the blending different colours and fabrics. I plan to visit certain designers, get work done on my jackets and take them back to Jamaica.

We know you love spices. Will you be shopping for them here?
Shopping is certainly on my mind after having heard so much about Indian food. The organisers have made arrangements for me to
relish every possible dish. I am sure they will help me shop for spices that I could take back to Jamaica. I will make sure my family
and friends at home enjoy the same taste.

Are you aware of Bollywood films and music?
I am an artiste and I appreciate music and keep myself updated about everything, including Bollywood music. I don’t know of any song in particular that I could talk about. But Bollywood music is doing pretty well globally. Our clubs have Bollywood nights.

Do you listen to Indian or Bollywood music?
I don’t really listen to it, but I am definitely aware of it. I did listen to the tracks composed by AR Rahman after I learnt about his Oscar nomination. I would love to work with him some day.

Are you meeting any Bollywood stars during your visit?
I have absolutely no idea. After the concerts and the mini India tour, if time permits, I would surely love to meet them.
