I don’t find anything special about Eminem’s music: Badshah

Popular composer rapper Badshah says he does not like listening to the rap songs by American rapper Eminem.

American rapper Eminem is an idol for millions across the globe and his songs strike a chord with his fans for their lyrics, but rapper-composer Badshah cannot relate to them. The popular Indian rapper tells us he is not a fan of the Grammy winning rapper.

“I have never been a big fan of him. I know the entire world is crazy about him and his music, but for me I never thought it was anything special. That’s because I can never really relate to the lyrics of his songs and I am sort of not really into that kind of music,” he says.

However Badshah, says he t he is a big fan of popular American boyband Backstreet Boys. “Ever since I was a kid, I used to listen to Backstreet Boys and their song Get Down (on it) was my favourite song. That’s the song that made me decide very early that I wanted to be a musician,” he quips.

“That’s the kind of music I can relate to. I want to write music based on my life, my past experiences and heartbreaks. That’s why I like to listen to music of Drake or a Kendrick Lamar because that’s what they talk about in their songs and I can relate to it. I know I might offend a lot of his (Eminem) fans but, I just cannot listen to his music and I won’t shy away from saying that,” he adds.
