Lady Gaga, Taylor Kinney split; couple say they were having differences

Singer Lady Gaga has parted ways from her fiance, actor Taylor Kinney.

After being together for five years, singer Lady Gaga and her fiance, actor Taylor Kinney, have called it quits. The break up comes after months of speculation that the ‘Poker Face’ singer, 30, and the Chicago Fire actor, 35, were having some differences. “They want to keep it private. It’s heartbreaking,” said a source.

Gaga released a statement on July 20, following the break up. “Taylor and I have always believed we are soulmates. Just like all couples, we have ups and downs, and we have been taking a break,” she wrote on Instagram with a black and white photo of the couple, which shows their arms wrapped around each other’s shoulders.

“We are both ambitious artistes, hoping to work through long-distance and complicated schedules to continue the simple love we have always shared. Please root us on. We’re just like everybody else and we really love each other,” the post further read.

On Kinney’s birthday (July 15), Gaga was photographed without her engagement ring. When she performed at an orphanage in Mexico, earlier this week, the ring was again missing.
