“When we reached the camp, we found that 12 units of blood had already been collected from the donors. There was no permission sought for the camp from our department. We have seized the 12 units and sent them to the district hospital,” said Vineet Kumar, drug inspector.

Officials said they have also served a notice to the two blood banks for holding the camp without permission. “We have sought their replies to the notice. Further action will be taken by the department headquarters in Lucknow. The reply from the two blood banks is awaited,” Kumar said.
