A six-year-old boy was found dead in a parked car in Sector 121 this evening, police said here.

The victim was identified as a nursery student, Roshan, resident of Garhi Chokhandi here.

Roshan went missing around 11.30am while he was playing with his cousin with other children in a park in Sector 121, police said.

His family members searched for him but were unable to find him.

In the evening around 5pm, one of the relative noticed an Indica car parked near the park and Roshan was found dead inside the car. He had injuries on chest and thighs, police said.

The body has been sent for postmortem, SHO Pankaj Pant said, adding the car has been seized and manhunt has been launched to arrest the absconding car driver.
