The shooting team from Australia was initially leading by eight points but the duo finally managed to topple them.
After the victory, Anisa and Rahi said, "We had decided we will win gold but did not expext to hit a world record. There are lots of gold to come. Shooting infront of the home crowd has an added benefit but again, the pressure was intense. The competition was tough from Canada and Australia. Adequate training, quality practice and proper ammunitions helped us a lot in the event."
Hailing from Pune, Anisa, who is currently settled in Faridabad, is an ex Indian Railways employee.
Rahi, a junior at 20, from Kolhapur has the capacity to qualify for the Olympics. She participated in the World Shooting Championships held in Munich in August 2010.
