Maoists own responsibility for attacks

The outlawed CPI (Maoist) have owned the responsibility of carrying out simultaneous attacks on Rajpur and Baghela police outposts in Rohtas district in which nine persons, including five policemen, were killed and arms and ammunition looted.

Secretary command-in-chief, Eastern Regional Bureau and Eastern Regional Army Command of CPI (Maoist), Animesh, said the operation named as 'Daman break' was a mark of protest against police atrocities against innocent cadres, particularly Nathun, who was subjected to harassment by policemen in the Konch police station in Gaya district. Animesh admitted that many top-ranking leaders of the outfit, like Varun Da, Vijay Da and Sheela were issuing directives from behind the bar.
