"BJP was trying to create communal disharmony in the state for electoral benefits by displaying Modi's poster and its workers misbehaving with JD(U) MP Monazir Hasan," MUF President Abu Kaiser said in a statement.

He also criticised Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for his silence on the issue.

"Kumar should speak out on the display of his Gujarat counterpart's posters in consistent with his strong opposition to the publication of an advertisement last month showing him with the BJP leader," he said.
