A resident of Jasidih in Jharkhand, the woman was allegedly engaged in flesh trade and she picked up a quarrel with a youth Rakesh who was acting as her pimp, Addtional Director General of Police (HQ) Neelmani said.

Rakesh had taken Rs 4000 from a customer but paid only Rs 1000 to her, Neelmani said.

So, the woman took Rakesh’s mobile set demanding that he give her more money.

Rakesh then started shouting that she had stolen his mobile phone. A group of people soon gathered at the spot and beat up the woman and tore her clothes thinking that she had stolen Rakesh’s mobile, Neelmani.

The crowd soon realised the mistake and handed over Rakesh to the police, the ADGP said.
