The 48-year-old actor-tuned politician was arrested "for holding a road show near Pirbahore police station without securing necessary permission from the local administration," Patna Superintendent of Police (city) Anwar Hussain told PTI.

Suman was arrested under Sections 171(f) (punishment for undue influence or personation at an election), 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) of ipc and section 144 crpc (power to issue order in urgent cases of nuisance or apprehended danger), Hussain said.

He was, however, released on bail soon after his arrest on furnishing a bail bond of Rs 2,000.
