Two murders within 24 hours in Bihar
The body of a six-year-old girl was recovered from a pond at Jalalabad.
Two persons, including a minor girl and a 17-year-old boy, were allegedly killed within 24 hours in Munger and Darbhanga districts, barely a few days after a similar case involving kidnapping and murder of a 18-year-old boy, Raunak, shook the state capital.

In the first incident, the body of a six-year-old girl was recovered from a pond at Jalalabad under Asarganj police station on Thursday. She was missing since Wednesday.
Police said prima facie it appeared that she was raped and later strangulated to death. “Injury marks have also been found on her body. It appears that the girl died due to smothering or drowning. Only viscera report or swab test could confirm if the victim was subjected to sexual assault,” said Pawan Kumar Singh, station house officer (SHO) of Asarganj police station.
Agitated over the incident, an irate mob blocked Sultanganj-Deoghar main road and disrupted vehicular traffic for more than four hours, demanding immediate arrest of the killers.
In another incident, a 17-year-old Rahul Kumar Das was allegedly kidnapped and killed by criminals at Benta in Darbhanga district.
His body was recovered from Andama village under Fekla police out-post on Thursday. Das was abducted from Donar village on Tuesday.
