    Masculinities, liberation through photography and films

    Through the medium of films and photography, Masculinities through this exhibition considers how masculinity has been coded, performed, and socially constructed from the 1960s to the present day. Touching on themes such as power, patriarchy, queer identity, female perceptions of men, hypermasculine stereotypes, tenderness and family, the exhibition shows how important both photography and film have been to the way masculinity is imagined and understood in contemporary culture.
