Over 70 recipients of the 65th National Film Awards have decided to stay away from the function in New Delhi to protest President Ram Nath Kovind’s inability to personally present the prizes them. It was earlier announced that Kovind would present the awards to just 11 of the 137 winners as he would not be able to stay for the entire duration of the ceremony at Vigyan Bhavan.
