Photos: 107,123 Indians return home under Vande Bharat Mission
A total of 107,123 Indians stranded across the world have been brought back to the country so far in the first two phases of Vande Bharat Mission, India’s largest repatriation operation. The mission began on May 17 and is said to be continued till June 13. Indian Navy ship INS Jalashwa as well as Air India have been at the forefront of this mission. The total evacuated citizens include 17,485 migrant workers, 11,511 students and 8,633 professionals Around 38,000 Indians are expected to be repatriated in the third phase of the mission.

Indian Navy ship INS Jalashwa sailed from Colombo Port on June 1 with 700 Indian nationals to India under the second phase of Operation ‘Samudra Setu’ as part of the Vande Bharat mission. Around 38,000 Indians are expected to be repatriated in the third phase of the mission. (PTI)
