Photos: 45 Rajya Sabha members sworn-in at inter-session ceremony

Rajya Sabha chairman M Venkaiah Naidu administered the oath of office to 45 of 61 newly elected members of India’s Upper House on July 22, at the first such ceremony inside the house’s chambers during inter-session amid the Covid-19 pandemic. The oath taking ceremony had been planned earlier but had to be deffered dur to lockdown restrictions and concerms by lawmakers over travel. The remaining MPs will be administered the oath at a later date during the monsoon session.
