Photos: India logs sharpest Covid-19 dip in a month; tally at 6.7 million
India’s figure for daily increase in Covid-19 cases saw its lowest dip in over a month this past weekend. Additionally, the country began the week with its lowest daily rise in deaths over the past seven days. The health ministry in a statement of October 5 noted that around 78% of new cases daily and around 75% of recoveries being made daily are concentrated in 10 states and union territories --among which Maharashtra leads both categories as the county's worst affected region. The country’s current caseload of Covid-19 cases rests at 6.75 million according to health ministry figures released on October 7.
