Photos: Cold wave grips Delhi as temperature plunges to 2.2 degrees

The cold wave continued its impact in the national capital on Thursday, January 5, with Ayanagar and Ridge weather stations recording a minimum of 2.2 and Safdarjung recording 3 degrees Celsius, amid “very dense” fog conditions. Safdarjung is Delhi’s base weather station, where the previous lowest this season was 4.4 degrees on January 4th. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said cold wave conditions are expected to continue this week.
