Rain wreaks havoc in Uttarakhand, rescue operations underway

  • At least 47 people are dead as heavy rainfall battered Uttarakhand for three consecutive days. Five deaths were reported on Monday and 42 on Tuesday, according to news agency PTI.

In view of the incessant rains, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami chaired a review meeting in Haldwani, Nainital on Tuesday.
