Shiv Sena MLA Suresh Gore booked for damaging rickshaws in Chakan
The case was registered in reference to an incident that happened on Sunday, August 26, when Gore and his supporters allegedly vandalised 10-12 rickshaws between 8 pm and 8.30 pm.
Suresh Gore, member of the legislative assembly (MLA) representing Khed constituency, and a Shiv Sena leader, was booked for damaging autorickshaws in Chakan gaon, Khed.
The case was registered in reference to an incident that happened on Sunday, August 26, when Gore and his supporters allegedly vandalised 10-12 rickshaws between 8 pm and 8.30 pm.
"Yes, a case was registered yesterday. However, I'm in Junnar for another case. I shall come back and investigate the matter further," said police sub inspector Sanjay Neelpatriwar of Chakan police station who is investigating the case.
The complaint in the matter was filed by Maruti Ashok Shivle, 38, a resident of Indrayani nagar in Bhosari, one of the rickshaw drivers whose vehicle was damaged. “In his complaint, he has also mentioned the names of Prakash Gore, Pravin Gore, Rahul Gore, Kiran Manjre, Lakshman Jadhav and four others,” police officials said.
A case under Sections 143, 147, 149, 427 of Indian Penal Code and Sections 37(1)3 read with 135 of Bombay Police Act was registered against Gore and others at Chakan police station under the newly formed Pimpri Chinchwad police commissioner's jurisdiction.
