14 new dengue cases reported on Friday
Fourteen new dengue cases were reported in the city on Friday. With this, the number of total cases has reached 171. On Friday, health teams visited several areas, including Traffic Police Lines, Doordarshan Kendra, Sector-37 Water Works and Ordinance Factory.

Chandigarh: Fourteen new dengue cases were reported in the city on Friday. With this, the number of total cases has reached 171. On Friday, health teams visited several areas, including Traffic Police Lines, Doordarshan Kendra, Sector-37 Water Works and Ordinance Factory.
A large number of dengue larvae were found from these areas. Apart from this, larvaes were found from Dhanas, Sector 22 and Sector 29.
Health department’s malaria wing has issued notices to more than 400 city residents, so far. It is now planning to issue challans as well. Maximum numbers of cases are being reported from Sectors 31, 37 and 38.
