Malik, after holding a detailed meeting with the airport officials, said the airport earned Rs 1.7 crore revenue in 2011-2012, which dipped to Rs 15.6 lakh in 2015-16.

The MP said the Centre was committed to equip the airport with top facilities, while promising a grant of Rs 200 crore in coming months.

“The first floor of the terminal building will be getting a major facelift. It will also have two more aerobridges,” he said.
