Anmol’s father Sarabjit Singh Bedi on Saturday said his son received a gold medal from Union minister Sushma Swaraj during the valedictory function held in New Delhi on Friday. “It’s a matter of great pride for the family, said Anmol’s father, who is an academician. “My son joined as under secretary in the South Block office of MEA,” he said.
A resident of Green Avenue, Bedi has done his BTech in computer science from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, Rajasthan.
Anmol was also honoured for his achievement by President Ram Nath Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhavan on January 26. In July last year, the Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) awarded ₹1 lakh to Anmol for bagging the second rank in the UPSC exams.
