Rai said the bus would cover every corner of the town and outskirts and services of taxis would be available in case of emergency.

Rai also issued a taxi operator union number and helpline number in case of non-availability of bus
services or blockades of roads by the auto-rickshaw union during the strike.

Rai said the strike had no logic and they were using pressure tactics to justify their illogical demands.

Rai said the administration held a meeting with the union leaders on October 27 and the matter was resolved.

He said the administration had fixed 99 points of parking for 236 auto-rickshaws in different places of the town and the number of temporary parking lots was more than sufficient.

He said the administration had informed the union leaders that the administration has no power to enhance auto-rickshaw fares and they had to approach the state government over the issue.

Rai also urged the people to cooperate with the taxi operator union, people and police to meet out emergencies.

Meanwhile, taxi operator union president Sanjay Kumar issued mobile number 9418100034 for services during the strike and ensured the administration that the taxi union would take care of emergencies and services to schoolchildren, elderly people and women in reaching at their destinations.
