In a statement issued here on Friday, Mann said, "though the chief minister was making tall claims of releasing funds for the development of villages in Dhuri, I have already given Rs 27.48 lakh of my Rs 2.50 crore first installment of my member of parliament local area development (MPLAD) funds for the Dhuri assembly, without creating any hype to gain publicity."

He said that he had also adopted Benra village in Dhuri constituency under the Adarsh Gram Yojana.
