Aadmi Party’s candidate from the Sangrur Lok Sabha seat Bhagwant Mann on Thursday inaugurated his party office for the coming Lok Sabha election.
At the opening of the office in a showroom, vacated by an multinational company in the centre of the city, Mann asked party workers to first set up booth-level committees of 20 people in every village and town to run the election campaign.
“Make regular visits to every household of the all nine assembly segments. You have to work hard to demolish the old structures. and turn the atmosphere in the favour of AAP,” he told party workers.
Seeking the suppor t of party workers, he said that following the directions of the party high command, he would have to campaign for the other candidates also, especially for Gul Panag in Chandigarh. In his absence they will show his speech to people on LCDs.
“Every morning from 7:30 to 8:30 am, I will be present in the of fice and you can discuss any issue with me”, he added.
Talking to Hindustan times, AAP’s district convener AS Mann said, “We have set up a place to run the election office.”
