On Friday, city recorded 1.8-mm rain. The rain effected a dip in the day temperature, but the night temperature went up.

The maximum temperature recorded on Friday was 18.5 degrees Celsius, four degrees below normal and as much below the temperature recorded on Thursday.

The minimum temperature, however, went up due to the cloudy conditions and settled at 14.5 degrees Celsius, which was eight degrees above normal. It was 11.6 degrees Celsius on Wednesday night.

The humidity levels oscillated between 68% and 83%.

Director of meterological centre, Surender Paul, said, “There is a possibility of cloudy sky till forenoon on Saturday, but afterwards the sky will be clear and weather will remain dry. City residents should expect colder mornings and nights with possibility of shallow fog.”

“Western disturbances will again lead to cloudy conditions around December 16, but there is no prediction for rain,” he said.
