Despite protest by encroachers, MC removes 15 illegal structures from Model Town area

Encroachers protested against an anti-encroachment drive by the Tehbazari wing of the municipal corporation in Model Town area on Thursday.
When a team of Tehbazari wing reached the spot to remove temporary encroachments, the encroachers started raising slogans and also stopped the vehicles of the team.
Around 15 temporary encroachments were removed along with few carts, which were leading to traffic jams in the area.
Tehbazari wing superintendent Jasdev Sekhon said, "Tehbazari wing of Zone D has decided to make the zone encroachment free and free from illegal temporary structures that disrupt the flow of traffic."
