Dugri resident booked for withdrawing R99,800 by forging signature

Police on Wednesday booked a Dugri resident for allegedly withdrawing Rs 99,800 from a bank account of another person by forging his signatures. The complaint was lodged by the bank manager of Punjab National Bank, Sahnewal, on August 22 last following which police had started investigation into the case.

Police on Wednesday booked a Dugri resident for allegedly withdrawing Rs 99,800 from a bank account of another person by forging his signatures.

The complaint was lodged by the bank manager of Punjab National Bank, Sahnewal, on August 22 last following which police had started investigation into the case.

Following the investigations carried out by assistant commissioner of police, Sahnewal, police identified the accused as Sukhchain Singh of Dugri.


A case has been registered against Sukhchain at the Sahnewal police station under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). However, no arrest was made in this connection, said police.
