A day after Panchkula police claimed that Honeypreet, close aide of convict Gurmeet Ram Rahim, was the main handler of cash in Dera Sacha Sauda, Enforcement Directorate (ED) may soon question her in connection with the Money Laundering and Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) violations in the Dera.

“We may also question jailed dera chief in the later stage.”

ED has already begun a probe on the directions of the Punjab and Haryana high court. A senior official said that her questioning is vital as their probe will closely look into all the dera properties and generation of money through all the sources. “We may also question jailed dera chief in the later stage too,” he said. He said as part of probe, they have sought all FIRs registered in Haryana in connection with the violence in Haryana on the day of Ram Rahim’s conviction.

“As many as 240 cases were registered after the Panchkula violence. We will closely study all the cases and accordingly build up our case,” he said. According to ED sources, they will also obtain a copy of the hard disk that was recovered during the raids in the Dera by the Haryana police that reportedly had details of the Dera assets.
