Former Akali MP Tarlochan Singh Tur passes away
Former Akali MP Jathedar Tarlochan Singh Tur, 69, son of former SAD president Jathedar Mohan Singh Tur, passed away on Wednesday night at a private hospital in Amritsar.

Former Akali MP Jathedar Tarlochan Singh Tur, 69, son of former SAD president Jathedar Mohan Singh Tur, passed away on Wednesday night at a private hospital in Amritsar. His family members said Tarlochan Singh died in his sleep.
Tur village sarpanch Sulakhan Singh Tur said, “When Tarlochan didn’t get up in the morning, he was rushed to a hospital , where doctors declared him brought dead.”
The cremation took place on Thursday afternoon at his native village .
He was elected to the Lok Sabha in 1985 and 1998 from Tarn Taran constituency and had also been a member of various key committees of the central and state governments.
He had joined the Aam Aadmi Party in 2014.
