Former MLA Vijay Sathi's mother passes away

Vidyawati, wife of famous socialist leader late Sathi Roop Lal and mother of former MLA Vijay Sathi, passed away on Thursday after prolonged illness. She was 93. She was suffering from severe lung infection and was on life support systems. Vidyawati died of multiple organ failure.

Vidyawati, wife of famous socialist leader late Sathi Roop Lal and mother of former MLA Vijay Sathi, passed away on Thursday after prolonged illness. She was 93. She was suffering from severe lung infection and was on life support systems. Vidyawati died of multiple organ failure. Vijay Sathi told that his mother had been in Dayanand Medical Collage and Hospital, Ludhiana, for the past one-and-a-half months. She was cremated here on Thursday evening. Several prominent socialist, Akali and Congress leaders were present at the ceremony.
