Talking to mediapersons here on Tuesday, he said after what had happened in Punjab in the past and what was going on in Jammu and Kashmir, the possibility of ISI trying to disturb peace in the state could not be discounted. “It could be a game plan of the ISI,” he remarked.
“We are investigating the recent incident and hopefully will find out the culprits,” he added.
The DGP said RSS leader Jagdish Gagneja’s murder case might have been shifted to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) but Punjab police will continue with its probe. “We had made a good progress in the case and we have shared the inputs with the CBI,” he said.
He further said the police were acting tough against drug peddlers and had confiscated their properties worth crores. “We are strong in our resolve to end drug menace in the state.” he said.
