The lady was at her house along with her two-year daughter Wednesday night and her husband was out of station for official work.

Panic spread when Vineeta was found dead in the house. As per the crime scene, it looked that she was strangulated by a wire of the heater.

Police officials and army officials reached the spot and started the investigation. Police claimed that some valuables were also missing from the house.

The area where the murder took place is the Manekshaw Enclave where army officers live. The incident has also raised questions over the security in the area despite the fact that there is an army checkpoint at the entrance and nobody is allowed in without verification.
