Minor raped by truck driver in Fatehgarh Sahib
A 14-year-old girl was raped allegedly by a truck driver in Fatehgarh Sahib district in Punjab. Kaka Singh (30), a resident of village Tooran, was arrested by Mandi Gobindgarh police on charges of raping the minor yesterday, police said today.

Fatehgarh Sahib SSP Hardial Singh Mann told reporters here that after receiving the complaint, police immediately arrested Singh, who is an illiterate.
In her complaint, the victim said she was on her way to a 'langar' (community kitchen), when the driver forcibly took her to his truck and allegedly raped her.
The medical examination of the girl was conducted at Civil Hospital, Mandi Gobindgarh and a case registered under relevant sections, police said.
The incident comes close on the heels of an 18-year-old gangrape victim in the state committing suicide after alleging police inaction on her complaint.
