Modi’s rally: Schools in Haryana to remain close on January 22

Haryana education department has decided to observe holiday in all government and non-government schools in the state on January 22.

Haryana education department has decided to observe holiday in all government and non-government schools in the state on January 22.

In a statement issued here on Monday, an official spokesperson said, “On January 22, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch a national campaign ‘Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao’ in Panipat to sensitise people about safety and education of girl child, skewed sex ratio, prevention of female foeticide and women empowerment.”

He added that on the occasion, teachers and students would actively participate in various activities, including rally, competitions, speech and exhibition, being organised at village, block, district and state level.
