Two unidentified persons robbed a petrol pump attendant of Rs 8,000 on Court Road in the city early Saturday.

Reports said two motorcycle-borne youths came to Sarla Duggal filling station and asked the attendants to fill petrol worth Rs 50.
One of the accused took out a sharp-edged weapon and asked the attendant to hand over the money to him. The CCTV footage showed that the two attendants resisted the accused but the latter managed flee with money.
They fled towards the Session Chowk.
Senior superintendent of police (SSP) Sushil Kumar said night patrolling had been stepped up in the wake of back-to-back incidents of theft and looting.
He said thousands of pilgrims passed through the city daily due to Mata Chintpurni fair.
"It's not possible to frisk each and every passer-by. We have arrested some of the criminals and hope to catch hold of the rest soon," he added.
The SSP appealed to the public to be more vigilant. "People should help the police by conducting theekri pehras or deploying night watchmen," he said.
Congress MLA Sunder Sham Arora condemned the police for rise in crime incidents. He said law and order situation had worsened in the recent days.
"Recurring incidents of crime are a big question mark on policing. The present government lacks concern for people's security and well-being," he said.
The incident has added to the long list of crimes taking place in the city on a routine basis.
On Wednesday, a petrol pump was looted at Bajwara on the outskirts of the city. In the last couple of months a number of burglary and snatching incidents have been reported.
