Three held for betting on IPL matches; gadgets& seized
The police have arrested three members of an interstate gang that is allegedly involved in betting for IPL and other cricket matches. The police also recovered two Apple i-pads, one laptop, four mobile phones and `13,900 in cash from the accused persons.

The accused have been indentified as Sukhpal Singh, Ravi Singla and Inderjeet Singh.
Superintendent of police (detective) Jaskaran Singh Teja said that they were arrested on the basis of information from ex-friends of the accused people.
"They had opened a company by the name of 'Bet Fixed' and would ask the people to invest in it. People invested their money through the company on IPL and other cricket matches," the SP said.
They would create an ID of the investor on the internet and save the points in the respective account.
They claimed to give one dollar per point. The gang also covered Mumbai, Delhi, Haryana and other several parts of Punjab.
