Uncle, 3 others rape minor

Four youths, including a maternal uncle of the victim, allegedly raped a 13-year-old girl at Gannaur town in Sonepat district on Friday.

One of suspects, Anil, a resident of Matan village in Jhajjar district, is said to be the victim's uncle; another identified as Teku is a resident of Gandhi Nagar Colony of Gannaur. The two others could not be identified. All the four are said to be at large.

Police have registered a case against the four on the complaint of the victim's mother.
In her complaint, the victim's mother alleged that the four youths overpowered her daughter when she had gone to answer the nature's call.

She said when the victim didn't return for half an hour, she went in search of her and saw the men committing the crime. On seeing her they fled from the scene. She said the suspects also included the maternal uncle of the victim.
Police said the victim's statement had been recorded and she had been medically examined.
