
Youth Services club holds awareness camp
The Youth Services Club of National Service Scheme (NSS) held an awareness camp on HIV AIDS and drug abuse at the Dholanwal village on Wednesday under the leadership of sssistant Director NSS, Ludhiana Davinder Singh Lotte. A large number of residents from te neigbouring villages also take part in the camp.
Davinder Singh Lotte informed the youth about various schemes provided under the youth services club. He said drugs only harm the young generation and people should indulge in rehabilition activities to deviate from thid menace.
Natchattar Singh, block Committee member encouraged young members at the camp to donate blood.
Dr Harpreet Singh, medical officer, Kumkalan and Dr Gurcharan Singh, SHC Chauta gave a lecture on HIV AIDS to youth. Dr Harpreet said, "Sharing needles or having unprotected intercourse could invite HIV virus".
