Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan, who had begun shooting for his Tamil debut Uyarntha Manithan, is facing issues with the movie’s producers. However, contrary to the rumours, the film is not shelved, confirmed film’s actor SJ Suryah. Directed by Tamilvaanan, the film also features Ramya Krishnan opposite Amitabh.

In a statement tweeted by his PR, Suryah said, “There is a small issue between the production company and Big B saab. I will sort it out and take it forward. After my film Monster’s release (May 17), I will fly to Mumbai to sort out these issues. Myself and director Tamilvaanan have already sorted out many issues to take the film to this stage. We got the great tweet on the third day of shoot from Big B saab out of love and respect for our work. Ignore negativity.”

Recent media reports claimed that the film was shelved as Amitabh did not get along well with producer Suresh Kannaan. They even said the shooting had been stalled following the fallout, an India Today report said.

He had earlier revealed that the producers wanted 40 days with Big B but he could manage only 35. “We required 40 days of Amitabh sir’s schedule. But, his schedule is jam-packed with 12 commercials and Kaun Banega Crorepati. He asked if we could complete the film in 35 days and we agreed,” he said at the movie’s launch event.

Amitabh has been sharing his excitement and pictures from the sets on social media.

During the launch of Uyarntha Manithan last year, Suryah had said the film is a dream come true as he always wanted to work with Amitabh. “Even before I ventured into showbiz as an assistant director, I craved for this moment to work with him. Now, to see it happening sends gold rush into my veins, but at the same time, I’m nervous to imagine that I am going to share the screen space with him,” he said.
