Dhanush has had a fabulous year so far. After making successful directorial debut with Pa Paandi and scoring a hit with VIP 2, he went back to the sets of Vetrimaaran’s Vada Chennai, the highly anticipated gangster drama which will be shot in three parts. Last week, Dhanush resumed shooting for Gautham Menon’s Enai Noki Paayum Thota, in which he plays a college student. Currently sporting clean shaven look, he’s simultaneously shooting for both the projects.

“He’s simultaneously shooting for two projects. During the day, he’s finishing the final schedule of ENPT and in the night, he’s filming the flashback portion of Vada Chennai. Although he sports thick beard through major portion of Vada Chennai, there’s a brief episode where he’ll be seen clean shaven. He should be done with the shoot of ENPT in the next couple of weeks,” a source told Hindustan Times.

Once relieved of Vada Chennai, Dhanush will commence work on Maari 2, which he will also be bankrolling. In Maari 2, Dhanush will return as the local mustache-twirling, dhoti-clad rowdy. He is paired with Sai Pallavi this time and will lock horns with Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas. Dhanush also has plans to direct his second film sometime next year. There are rumours that he might return with a sequel of Power Paandi and the project is expected to be produced by Thenandal Studio Limited, the makers of Mersal.
