Dasari Narayana Rao is one of the most popular names in the filmmaking circuit of the country. Having directed over 100 films, the veteran fimmaker says he can no longer make films suiting the taste of current audiences. Rao says he would rather concentrate on producing films with young talents than directing.

"I have a feeling I can't match the expectations of the present audiences' with my type of films. Recently, actor Pawan Kalyan told I'm suppose to make films and also asked me to direct him. I declined the request with the same reason," the filmmaker said.

"Moreover, Pawan is a star and I can't risk his reputation. Since he wanted to work with me, I've decided to produce a film with him. We plan to rope in a popular director for the project," he said.

Tight-lipped about the aforementioned project, Dasari confirmed it won't deal with any political subject. "The script work is in process. Pawan and I decided to not make any political film. It'll be something his fans would love for sure," Dasari's last directorial was 2014's Telugu drama Erra Bus, which turned out a boxoffice dud.

"I'm still not sure why the film did not work. It was a huge hit in Tamil. Moving from this fact what attracted me more was the beautiful story about the relationship between a grandfather and his grandson," Dasari said.
