Janatha Garage teaser: Jr NTR channels his star power well
The teaser of Koratala Siva’s new film, Janatha Garage is out. Starring Jr NTR and Mohanlal the film does well to showcase NTR’s star status.
The teaser of the upcoming Telugu entertainer Janatha Garage was released on Wednesday. The 34-second teaser is dominated by its star Jr NTR while veteran actor Mohanlal appears briefly in its dying moments. Riding high on the success of his last film, Temper, NTR, plays to the gallery.
The teaser begins with the actor strolling down a beach with a glorious setting sun for company. We are then introduced to a more macho NTR running and casually riding a bike with an air of authority and power. The next frame shows him in a large room, with massive columns behind, taking stock of things. The room itself resembles a run down but a huge government department. There are people holding files in his vicinity. There’s also a man, possibly beaten up, lying on the table in front of NTR. The very next moment, we actually see him bashing up a guy.

The final shot has Jr NTR and Mohanlal heading into a congregation and acknowledging others with a salutation.
Also starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Nithya Menen, the film has a bevy of big names from southern film industries. Directed by Koratala Siva (best known for his films Mirchi and Srimanthudu), the film has music by Devi Sri Prasad. Janatha Garage is slated for an August 2016 release.
