Meghana is my support system: Ravi Jadhav
The Balak-Palak (2012) director says that he owes his successful professional journey to his wife
Director Ravi Jadhav is an alumnus of Sir JJ School Of Arts where he studied Visual Communications and Graphic Design. The Natarang (2010) director admits that he was a “tapori” while in college and it was his wife Meghana who shaped him personally and professionally. “She would attend all my exhibitions and motivate me with encouraging words in the feedback register. No one in my family belongs to the art industry. So, it was Meghana’s backing and confidence that has made me who I am. She pushed me to leave my job with a leading advertising agency to take the plunge into film direction,” he says.

Ravi’s latest film, Nude has entered its second week successfully. Despite many controversies, the film has received positive reviews. “Through this phase, I realised that no matter how much time of yours these controversies take, you must always stay strong and fight back, but politely. Also, you have to make sure you don’t get depressed or upset,” says Ravi.
He adds that his wife helped him cope in this phase and she has been like a rock in every decision of his. “It’s a fact that her support has made me. She has managed home, finances as a producer, and handled a demanding director like me,” he says.
